Who Can Join a Funded Trader Program From India?
You don't need a finance degree or large savings to train for a prop firm evaluation. Here's what Tradeshala expects before you enroll and what prop firms typically ask for.
Tradeshala program requirements
The Funded Trader Program is open to beginners and experienced traders alike.
- 18 years or older
- A laptop or desktop and a stable internet connection
- Time for live sessions and practice each week across 12 weeks
- Willingness to follow a written risk plan and keep a trade journal
- No prior trading experience required — fundamentals are covered
What prop firms usually require
Each prop firm sets its own rules. Common requirements include identity verification (KYC), an evaluation fee, and agreeing to its profit targets, daily loss limits and maximum drawdown.
Some firms restrict certain countries or instruments, so confirm a firm accepts Indian residents before paying for an evaluation.
Signs you're ready to attempt an evaluation
During the program, mentors help you judge readiness using your own data rather than gut feel.
- Consistent results over a meaningful sample of practice trades
- No breach of your daily loss limit in simulation
- A clear plan for when you stop trading for the day
Trading futures involves substantial risk of loss. Tradeshala provides education and evaluation preparation; it does not guarantee funding, profits or payouts. Funded accounts are issued by independent prop firms under their own rules.
